how to instructional

This was an instructional video showing how to install Tavo's pet car seat and carrier into a vehicle, and the catch was that the entire thing had to be built in CG. Similar to other projects where we've supplied a library of CG footage for an editorial team to build from, this one meant delivering a full sequence of CG shots covering each step of the install, rather than one locked final cut. Photogrammetry gave us the base geometry, but from there it was on us to texture it to match the real product exactly, along with building the full environment: warm tones, a cyc wall studio look, the kind of clean, aspirational aesthetic the brand needed to feel premium rather than instructional.

The technical work started with the photogrammetry itself, cleaning up a dense scanned mesh and converting it into something usable, then building functional rigs for the belts and zippers so they could actually animate through the real installation steps a customer would follow at home.

The fun part was bringing a physical, real-world product to life digitally, getting a scanned object to move and behave like the real thing does in someone's hands.

Technically, this was about doing the fundamentals at a broadcast level: tracking, compositing, and getting the UI to sit convincingly inside the shot. The frosted glass effect was the detail that mattered most, using it to blend and displace the footage underneath so the UI elements read as part of the world rather than pasted on top.

The shot we loved most was animating the 3D emojis themselves, giving them personality and reactions to the dish that helped sell the whole hype-drop feeling of the campaign.

This was full white-label ownership: design, animation, and CG were entirely ours, then handed off to the editorial team to integrate into the final cut.
